Hello, Bevin! I caught sight of you as I was leaving a birthday message for Mandy on FB, and remembered celebrating her "first annual 39th birthday" with you (& many others) at that Mexican place downtown. Weren't you pregnant then? I hope all is well with you... love the gorgeous blog!

Would love to catch up sometime... maybe there is something we can do together on the new SocialMoms site I write for!

Best,
Lea

Hello Bevin,

I was talking with a mutual friend of ours, Michael Miracle, and he suggested I reach out to you as he thought we have many synergies. After reading through your blog - I have to agree with him (down to the 9 year old son.)

I'd love to talk with you further.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Cheers,
Becky

Hi Brooke:
Thanks so much for your kind words and especially for reading my blog! I am familiar with Gluten Free Girl (we did a gluten challenge with my daughter about a year ago; turns out she is actually lactose intolerant instead!) and I really love her tone and site. I am hoping to migrate my blog from a wordpress site to my own, so I will keep you posted!

I hope you guys are having a nice summer and are enjoying Colorado!

Hi Bevin,
This is Brooke, Jeff Williams' wife....Jeff gave me a link to your blog because I'm very interested in food and nutrition, as well. Can I tell you how much I enjoy reading your blog? It's fantastic. It's informal. It's unpretentious. You communicate recipes and food ideas and food preparation tips in a fashion that real people can work with!

For example, you write about rinsing spinach really well to get the sand and grime out. My experience is that chefs/cooks/food personalities operated based on an assumption that their audience have a very good understanding of food preparation. And maybe their audiences do.

But I, for example, often turn away from a recipe when there are several aspects of it (food ingredients, food appliances/tools, food prep processes) that I'm unfamiliar with.

You are providing meal and other food ideas which I could really work with. And I love that most of the foods you write about are local. I very much appreciated your post about the weekly organic box. (We did this in CA, but I haven't signed up here yet, as I called CSA and it sounded like their box was too small. Your box, though not from CSA, was ample!). I loved the inclusion of food quality and products from Iceland. (Very interesting). I appreciated your honest thoughts about weight.

It's just a really wonderful, enjoyable, informative blog! Thank you for it! Please keep up the good work!

P.S. I'm not a food blog person at all, but since learning that I am gluten-intolerant, I did discover glutenfreegirl.com a while ago. I followed the blog almost since its inception.

Unfortunately, the blogger has recently become so popular, she is trying to get a tv show, etc. Her site now seems so much more big business/promotional vs the downhome site I used to love and enjoy. (Please keep yours real and simple!).

Take good care,
Brooke Williams
